This has been running for quite a while now. A small group of french-speaking Ubuntu translators got together and is offering a french issue for UWN. It is published on the french-speaking ubuntu-fr site : http://www.ubuntu-fr.org/lettre/ and is referred to as “Lettre Hebdomadaire Ubuntu”.

This project has now its own sub-forum : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewforum.php?id=49 and I’ll post tutorials on how to join, and other news. Everyone welcome :-)

You can now get specific rss feed for this very sub-forum. Thanks Yann ;-)
For the ones interested, I already have posted entries regarding LHU, and the new sub-forum, in french though.
